Dealing with Narcissists: A Believers Response

Have you ever been the victim to someone that wants to control you? Do you have someone in your life that has been controlled by their family or a member of their family?  If so, what is the response that a born again believer in Jesus Christ should have? Firstly we must remember that we are fighting against Satan's army where he has all that do not believe in Jesus fooled. Unfortunately, he also has many believers fooled because their identity is wrapped up in believing what the abusers in their life have taught them that is anti biblical. For an unbeliever, happiness may be the goal of their life. But for a believer they may just be so confused about the abuse they have received that they remain bitter and hateful forgetting that the word tells us to forgive, to root out bitterness, to find our joy in the Lord.  It also tells us to focus on the good things not the bad.  If you think in your own mind that you can rationalize the way to be around a narcissistic con...

Do Not Be Offended During Suffering; Focus On The Eternal

The word of God tells us not to cast our pearls before swine. We are to be wise as serpents but harmless as doves. But we do go through suffering and tribulations.  It is part of the spiritual battle we enter into the moment we are transferred out of the kingdom of darkness and into the Kingdom of Light as a born again believer in Jesus Christ and an Ambassador of Jesus Christ here in this world and in this time.  We have an eternal home that we will spend the vast majority of our existence in and it is not here but with Jesus. Jesus said: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. But we do go through things here that are very difficult.  Remembe...

Refuting Legalistic Covenant Mixing Believers

What do you say to modern day believers that also believe that because God told the Hebrews in the Old Covenant to not eat pork for example or shellfish that we are not supposed to either?  Can they be reasoned with or do we just let them continue and allow the Holy Spirit to work in their lives? I believe we give the truth where we can but as Romans 14 describes if someone thinks they should not do something because it would be a sin to them then it is sin.  So it seems we correct where we can in love but not at the expense of causing a division.  If you don't want to eat pork because of what Leviticus has to say about pork and shellfish then I'm not going to argue with you.  But the word of God does shed much light on this matter and if you understand this it helps to understand what the New Covenant really is and how people were always saved by faith not works. All animals created by God are good and considered clean for eating now.  1 Timothy 4:4 KJ...

What Saves A Person Unto Eternal Life?

When people are looking to find what it is that saves them they often here vague statements like, "you just need to surrender to Jesus" OR "just give your life to Jesus" OR "Invite Jesus into your heart". All of those are cliches made up by man to describe their feeling about what it is to be a Christian.  But we must go to the Word of God to find out what it takes to be saved and what it means to be saved.  This will lead you to see the difference between justification and sanctification which are two  topics most Christians are utterly confused about. The problem we have is that we have a sin debt as by one man all have fallen and need to be reconciled back to God.  God setup a plan for us to be saved before the foundation of the world. His plan was to send the Word which was in the beginning and was Gad.   All things were made by the Word and without Him was not anything made that was made. The Word was made flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit an...

Is God's Love Ever Reckless?

Referring to God and His love and describing His love with a word that means: without thinking or caring about the consequences of an action does not describe the actions of the God of the bible.  If we try to justify this descriptor for God's love by saying that the song's reference to God's "Reckless love" that it is not God's love but our perception of God's love from the human point of view raises two problems that are not in line with His word.   One, that God does things without consideration or care for people. He does not and if so that would be the opposite of love. That also indicates that someone doesn't believe God knows the end from the beginning.  Two, that God 's love is to be defined and is what we think it is.  God's attributes are set and unchangeable. Man exalting his opinion over what God's word describes is to create a god in our own mind.  When we do that and worship that god then we are in idolatry.  Ma...

Alan Keyes Argument For Defining Marriage As Only Between A Man And A Woman Using Logic

Jesus Said No Man Hath Ascended to Heaven

John 3:13 KJV And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Proverbs 30:4 KJV Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
