Was Jesus God and Man When He Was Born Into This World Via Mary?
The answer is YES. People like Todd White say that Jesus was born just as a man. Bill Johnson also says that. But that is an error that has been pointed out to both of them and they do not repent.
Matthew 1:21-23 KJV
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Notice in verse 23 where the Word of God says that his name is called Emmanuel which means God with us. Jesus was the Word before he manifested into the flesh as a baby. But when he was human he was also God.
John 1 describes who Jesus is also.
John 1:1 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 KJV
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
So we can see by those two verses that in the beginning Jesus was the Word and Jesus was with God and Jesus was God in the beginning but He had not manifested into the flesh yet. Then the Word was made flesh and He dwelt among the people at that time. It does not say that Jesus was just a man. In fact it highlights His being God.
1 Timothy 3:16 KJV
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
So if you say that Jesus was not God when He was a baby then you are denying that the Word came in the flesh.
When you say Jesus was a man that when He manifested in the flesh Jesus was no longer God for that time is saying incorrect. That is saying that Jesus ascended to be God. This whole thought process is really antichrist.
